A Little Something Every Day...

One of my New Year's goals is to write something every day. Who knows what I'll write about?

Shocking, I know!

I'm updating my blog! Happy belated Thanksgiving. Been pretty busy getting my part time business going, it takes a lot of time and effort to increase your inventory. But sales are good, and I'm slowly but surely getting more books. Now I need more bookshelves and a better way to organize them so when they sell I don't have so much trouble finding them!

This will be my 4th Christmas in Florida, and I still can't get used to the idea of Christmas and 80 degree weather. Seems wrong to be driving down the road with Christmas songs on the radio with the sunroof open, the windows down while going to the beach. Although I have a fake tree now, it would just seem wrong to be picking out a tree in shorts and a T shirt.

Lots of movies to catch up on. I still really have been watching a lot of TV seasons on DVD. Right now I'm on the first season of the Amazing Race. It's kind of fun to see how much the show has evolved (for good and for bad) since that first season. One thing I like about the first season better is that it seems like the teams really had to work more at their tasks, especially in getting between places. Made things more interesting. Speaking of reality TV, I love Kid Nation. I wish I didn't. But some of the kids are just too darn cute. Some are huge brats. Great TV!

On to the movies:

41. The Ultimate Gift (DVD) 7/10. Loved this movie, although it probably was more of a Liftetime TV movie than the theatrical release it tried to be.

42. Fracture (DVD) 7/10. Pretty good, I liked how it ended.

43. Ride the High Country (TV) 6/10. Good old western.

44. Casey's Shadow (DVD) 7/10. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid and when I saw it at the library, I had to check it out!

45. Keeping up With the Steins (DVD) 7/10 Funny story about a kid and his family planning his Bar Mitzvah.

46. All Over Me (DVD) 5/10. So so tale about teenagers in New York.

47. The Brave One (Theater) 7/10. Pretty good, but I'm not sure about the ending.

48. The Jane Austen Book Club (Theater) 6/10. Cute story, sort of funny.

49. Pump Up the Volume (DVD) 5/10. Sometimes movies we thought were awesome in high school, really weren't all that good.

50. Dan in Real Life (Theater) 7.5/10. Good story, funny, a little slow at times.

51. Evan Almighty (DVD) 7/10. I had low expectations for this movie, but it turned out to be entertaining enough.

52. American Gangster (Theater) 8/10. Good story, good acting.

53. Gone Baby Gone (Theater) 9/10. Best movie I've seen this year. I like how they did the ending, although I'm not sure I agreed with his choice.

54. Some Kind of Wonderful (TV) 7/10. Some movies from high school are still good today.

Lots of good holiday movies out there and coming soon, can't wait to see them!
